Overview

This policy explains how to report content you believe infringes your copyright and how we respond, in line with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 of India.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you are a copyright owner, or authorised to act on behalf of one, and believe that material on the FlixFox website or app infringes your rights, please send a written notice through customer support on the official website. Your notice must include:

  1. Your full name, organisation (if any) and contact details
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
  3. The exact location of the material, such as the title name, page URL or in-app section, so we can find it
  4. Proof of ownership or authority to act for the rights holder
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner
  7. Your physical or electronic signature

Incomplete notices may delay our review.

How We Respond

We review every valid notice and respond within five business days. If the claim is valid, we will remove or disable access to the material and may notify the party who made it available. We may contact you if we need more information to process your request.

Counter-Notice

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice through customer support on the official website. It should include your contact details, identification of the removed material and its former location, a statement in good faith that it was removed in error, and your signature. We will review the counter-notice and may restore the material if the original complainant does not take legal action.

Repeat Infringers

We may restrict or end access for users or sources that repeatedly infringe the rights of others.

False Claims

Please make sure your notice is accurate before you submit it. Knowingly false or misleading claims may result in legal liability.

Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute relating to it is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
